Projects: Ligand-gated ion channels

Biography

Stephanie completed her PhD in Biochemistry in May 2018 but remains as a postdoctoral scholar in this group for the summer months of 2018. Stephanie’s research focuses on the exploration of the molecular interactions between general anesthetics and ligand-gated ion channels. She mainly uses voltage-clamp electrophysiology along with other biochemical experimental techniques to explore the mechanisms of allosteric modulation and channel activation.
