Master’s Student
Science for Life Laboratory
KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm University, Karolinska Institutet
Projects:
- Ligand-Gated Ion Channels
- Membrane Protein Modeling – Modulation of Membrane Proteins by Small Molecules
Biography:
Xueqing grew up and finished her bachelor education in northeastern China. With a background in chemical engineering, she wants to move forward into molecular biology. In September 2016 she joined the SciLifeLab master program in Molecular Techniques in Life Science, a joint program in Karolinska Institutet, KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University. Interested in exploring the structure and biophysical properties of proteins by computational/experimental method, she is now doing a thesis project aiming to identify insecticide binding sites in pentameric ligand gated ion channels by docking.
Education:
- Master of Science in Molecular Techniques in Life Sciences, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm University, Karolinska Institutet (present).
- Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Dalian University of Technology, China (2016).
